I stand here today not to mourn what we’ve lost but to remind us of what we still have a chance. The world is broken. The skies are scarred by fire and the ground shakes with the weight of our own destruction The nukes fell and war has pushed us to the edge And now, the stars have sent us visitors beings from beyond our world watching us judging us. They ask Why do we destroy each other? Why do we risk everything even when we have so much to live for? I don’t have all the answers But I know this we are better than this. I have a dream that one day we’ll put down our weapons not because we’re forced to, but because we choose to I dream of children playing in fields not hiding in bunkers I dream of skies filled with stars not smoke This is not the end of humanity this can be the moment we change Together I choose peace over war hope over fear, life over destruction. And maybe those watching us from the stars didn’t come to destroy us they came to see if we could rise To see if we can stand together as one people one world and prove we’re worth saving. So let today be the day we start again The day we stop fighting each other and start building a future where we all can live It’s not too late we can still change we have a chance.
